The French hand-cutter Puzzle Michèle Wilson (pmw) is producing wooden jigsaws since 1975. Some years ago they introduced a new project called „Club de 1000“. 4 times a year they publish a limited version of some jigsaws – all puzzles have between 900 and 1.500 pieces. We guess that each puzzle have less than 50 copies. And last year, in March 2021 pmw published this beautiful world map puzzle as a limited edition!

The map puzzle is called „Carte de la terre et du ciel“ and was made by Samuel Dunn and Thomas Kitchin in 1794. The full title is: „A General Map of the World, or Terraqueous Globe with all the New Discoveries and Marginal Delineations, Containing the Most Interesting Particulars in the Solar, Starry and Mundane System, is a general map of the world, or terraqueous globe with all the new discoveries and marginal delineations, containing interesting particulars in the solar, starry and mundane system.“

It was such a pleasure to assemble this wooden jigsaw with its tiny pieces!
